Ian Procter MA, FInstLM, MAC
PeopleNET is led by Ian Procter. Ian has drawn from his results-driven experience and his coaching, facilitation and training skills to create PeopleNET, with the aim of enabling people to "choose" success.
Over the last 20 years Ian has led high-achieving multi-disciplinary teams in challenging environments. Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management and a Member of the Association for Coaching. His qualifications include a Masters Degree in Work Based Learning, a post graduate management Diploma, an ILM Diploma in Management Coaching and Mentoring and a City and Guilds 7303 (PTLLS).
Ian’s own personal development journey led him from being an unskilled labourer to becoming a prominent leader in his chosen field. As a mentor, Ian draws on his life’s journey (including periods working overseas in hostile environments) to help people recognise the role and value of personal resilience.
Key skills which Ian will bring to your business:
Having worked at strategic, tactical and operational levels Ian understands how powerful decisions are influenced and made.- Experience of the damage caused to effectiveness and productivity when these relationships fail.
- Ian’s experience has taught him the value of effective leadership and led him to champion the role of coaching, both as an intervention tool and as a leadership style.
- As a facilitator Ian has worked on a range of projects requiring the creation of a common purpose, confidence building, partnership development and team building. The promotion of participatory decision making has been common throughout this work.
Ian cites his most important learning as the resilience gained from failures and adversity, he reflects that "this resilience helped me choose to succeed."
